Innovation Works and EY released the Annual Regional
Investment Scorecard tracking tech investment activity over the
last 11 years.
Innovation Works President Ven Raju and EY Principal
Darrell Smalley give us the key finding from this year's report,
including:
- Pittsburgh saw almost a 25% increase from the previous in direct investment from venture capitalists and angels.
- $1.05B invested across 176 deals in 2022
- 300 firms investing in Pittsburgh over the decade including 74 new ones in2022
- $23 billion in exit proceeds over the decade
- $11 billion in university research over the past decade
